Music maestro A R Rahman isn't just stopping with his exploits in the West, Double Oscar-winner has bought a plush apartment in Los Angeles, one of the costliest cities in the world. Rahman is the only Indian composer to own a house in LA. He has also designed how he wants his pad to look. That's not all, the composer has converted his new apartment into a stateof-the-art recording studio. In fact, Rahman's now does his Hollywood projects and also fine tunes music for his world tour from his Los Angeles address. When Rahman composes his music, he does not really move around. He likes to keep to himself and wait for the inspiration. So, his house is more like an office and a studio with basic amenities of a house thrown in." Meanwhile, Rahman has been awarded the prestigious Asian Award this year along with Sachin Tendulkar with whom he shared the podium in London at a gala event.
